Whether you’re on a budget or want to capitalize on what you already have, these three must have cleaning products for keeping your home clean.
Vinegar
The acetic acid in vinegar makes it a great disinfectant and can kill bacteria. White distilled vinegar is the best option for cleaning due to its lack of a coloring agent. A few examples are:
Use as a glass gleaner - Mix vinegar with water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on the glass and wipe it off.
Remove calcium deposits on pots/pans - Mix two parts water with one part vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on pots/pans and let sit. Scrub off calcium.
Baking Soda
The holy grail! Baking soda has many uses. A few include:
Deodorizing trash cans and mattresses.
Removing built-up residue in the microwave - Add baking soda to a damp sponge and scrub the inside of the microwave. Don’t forget to rinse.
Toy cleaner - Mix 1 quart of warm water with 4 tablespoons of baking soda in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on toys, rinse, and dry.
Hydrogen Peroxide
Disinfect cutting boards and counters - Spraying undiluted peroxide on boards and counters is an effective way to kill Salmonella and E Coli.
Deep Clean The Toilet - add ½ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide to the toilet bowl, and let it sit for 20 minutes.
